It is estimated that two million children are enslaved in the global commercial sex trade. Many of these children are either sold into prostitution to pay off family debts or forcibly recruited on the street to work in brothels. Some prostituted children are just 5 years old. U.S. citizens are among those from several wealthy countries who travel abroad to take advantage of these children on what is commonly called a "sex tour."
By supporting this project, you will help equip World Vision to better assist law enforcement efforts and expand our strategic advertising campaign aimed at deterring sex tourists from the U.S.
At World Vision, stewardship is an integral part of everything we do - because we recognize that every resource entrusted to us can transform real children's lives.
As part of our stewardship, we optimize resources and distribute them where they are needed most.
